Simon Roberts the business owner of Chronolabs Co-Op has joined the board of the OSIA and is still awaiting for appointment. The OSIA is as a business a promotional tool and association for Open Source in Australia.

The AGM Was held today which started at 1830 and winded up at around 2000 hours today. The orginal board apart from one existing member was denounced and Simon as well as 7 other director where welcome to the board by the Return Officer.

The first board room meeting of the new board will be during linuxconf in brisbane. Simon is the yongest on the board and has astute notice. It was sad to see we had no female nomination as this would add more diversity to the board.

So unless Simon (wishcraft) stands down he is on the board of the OSIA for the next year as of today.

Checksums are an important part of all functions of computing they offer methods of providing data a string or otherwise know as a set length impression to the data so it can be verified that it is functionally and completely the same. Checksums are part of cryptology that offer finite measurement of data and ensure that there is a lot of functionality in the methods of data verification. Checksums are also referred to as hashes.

The nice feature of the QCP64 is the lack of repetitive numbering, many checksums/hashes are defined by long occurrences of numerical expression (it was time to change, this).
